Two-time cancer survivor, Susan Highsmith Graveline and her daughter, Alex Graveline, founded MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS AGAINST CANCER (MAD AC) to activate mothers and daughters in the fight against cancer, and to strengthen the bond between them. In 10 years, MAD AC has raised more than
$ 750,000 and grown to 100 plus members in Norcross, Georgia.
As a survivor, Graveline understands the need for physical comfort having survived two surgeries and numerous cancer treatments. She began sewing pillows for survivors to reduce their discomfort by holding pillows while laughing, sneezing or holding friends and family. One survivor said the pillow allowed her to hug her husband for the first time following surgery, and gave her extra soft padding under the shoulder harness of her seat belt while driving.
Graveline cares about “Feeling The Love” and sharing that mantra and zest for life. MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS AGAINST CANCER is a natural extension of her life spirit. Feel The Love, LLC was started to market creatively designed products to celebrate life, love and friendship; and raise funds to fight cancer. A portion of each handmade pillow sale will be donated to MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS AGAINST CANCER.
